"The completion of my degree and internship has allowed me to successfully apply to undertake a Residency in Small Animal Medicine, which I intend to combine with further research and study. Ultimately, I hope to improve the health of small animals both on an individual and species level, by becoming a registered specialist and earning a PhD through further clinical research."

As a practicing veterinarian I strive to keep improving my skills and knowledge. I have also developed a strong interest in improving animal health on a wider scale through clinical research. These factors were my motivation to enrol for a Master of Veterinary Studies at the University of Sydney, and undertake an internship at the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. The Faculty of Veterinary Science and its academics are particularly well-regarded around the world. This degree has not only improved my clinical skills and knowledge, but also increased my exposure to clinical research. The research I conducted during my degree has helped to increase knowledge about diagnosis of an emerging disease in cats. This is an area that has not been previously investigated.
